Welcome to Throwback Thursday’s where I teach you a classic hit from the last 4-5 decades! This week I’ll be covering a Sunday Morning Guitar Tutorial from US band Maroon 5! This is such a grooving song which is incredibly easy to play so it’ll be great for beginners. The most fun part is the instrumental bridge!

#sundaymorning has just 3 easy chords. At the end of the video i’ll be playing through the entirety of the song with a vocal track on top for you to play along to.

Enjoy! Like this #sundaymorning video by #maroon5 and subscribe to the channel for more videos in the future!

[Verse 1]

Dm7 G C
   Sunday morning rain is falling
Dm7 G C
Steal some covers share some skin
Dm7 G C
Clouds are shrouding us in moments unforgettable
       Dm7 G C
You twist to fit the mold that I am in
        Dm7 G C
But things just get so crazy living life gets hard to do
               Dm7 G C
And I would gladly hit the road get up and go if I knew
        Dm7 G C
That someday it would lead me back to you
        Dm7 G C
That someday it would lead me back to you

[Chorus]

            Dm7 G C
That may be all I need
                   Dm7 G C
In darkness she is all I see
                   Dm7 G C
Come and rest your bones with me
                       Dm7
Driving slow on Sunday morning
       G C
And I never want to leave

[Verse 2]

Dm7 G C
   Fingers trace your every outline
Dm7 G C
Paint a picture with my hands
Dm7 G C
Back and forth we sway like branches in a storm
              Dm7 G C
Change the weather still together when it ends

[Chorus]

            Dm7 G C
That may be all I need
                   Dm7 G C
In darkness she is all I see
                   Dm7 G C
Come and rest your bones with me
                       Dm7
Driving slow on Sunday morning
      G C
And I never want to leave

[Bridge]

     Dm7 G C
But things just get so crazy living life gets hard to do
            Dm7 G C
And I would gladly hit the road get up and go if I knew
     Dm7 G C
That someday it would lead me back to you
     Dm7 G C
That someday it would lead me back to you

[Chorus]

            Dm7 G C
That may be all I need
                   Dm7 G C
In darkness she is all I see
                   Dm7 G C
Come and rest your bones with me
                       Dm7
Driving slow on Sunday morning
      G C
And I never want to leave
